To provide an alarm unit capable of optimizing visibility without increasing power consumption.SOLUTION: An alarm unit includes: a housing; plural illumination LEDs 22a-22d arranged in the housing so as to respectively illuminate mutually different directions on an outer side of the housing; a switch 21 for receiving an operation to select at least one of the plural illumination LEDs 22a-22d; and a control section for setting a direction to be illuminated by the selected one of the illumination LEDs 22a-22d, as a radiation direction in response to the operation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
