PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely assist movement of a user.SOLUTION: An assist device 1 for assisting movement of a user M includes: a support table 5 for supporting a body of the user M; driving wheels 7 and driven wheels 11 for moving the support table 5; a motor 9 for driving the driving wheels 7; and a controller 13 for braking the driving wheels 7 by performing control related to the motor 9.
