Abstract:
To provide a mechanism for achieving efficiency of management of authentication information by simplifying registering work of a reading object.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus receives and manages user information including user identification information and a password from an information processing apparatus. The image forming apparatus accepts the user information including the user identification information and the password to read a reading object. When the accepted user information is coincident with the managed user information, the image forming apparatus displays a registration screen on which classification of the read reading object is determined, and stores authentication information in which the user information is associated with the identification information on the reading object as the reading object of the classification determined on the registration screen.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
