Abstract:
To provide an auto tensioner which does not need a special device for stabilizing a posture of a coil spring and enables reduction of manufacturing costs.SOLUTION: An auto tensioner 100 includes: a base 1 to which a swing shaft 6 is attached; an arm 2 which is supported through the swing shaft 6 so as to be rotatable relative to the base 1; a pulley 3 which is provided so as to be rotatable around an axis parallel to the swing shaft 6 and may contact with a belt 101; a coil spring 4 which is disposed around the swing shaft 6 and rotationally biases the arm 2 relative to the base 1 in one direction; and a clutch member 5 which is a cylindrical plate spring extending in a direction of an axis of the swing shaft 6. The coil spring 4 is set so that its diameter reduces when the arm 2 rotates in a direction such that the belt 101 is loosened, and the clutch member 5 is provided at the inner periphery side of the coil spring 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
