Abstract:
To provide a ball collection machine with high counting accuracy and high cost-benefit performance, capable of reducing overcounting of balls as much as possible by just improving software without requiring modification of hardware and approximating the number of balls counted to an actual number of balls collected.SOLUTION: A ball collection machine includes a ball collecting wheel 5, a collection tank 8, a count sensor 27 for counting balls, and a controller 50 for counting the number of balls collected in the collection tank 8 based on a signal from the count sensor 27. The controller 50 sets up an ignore period Jx for ignoring threshold excess even when a signal from the count sensor 27 exceeds a predetermined threshold Ls, based on a travel speed, etc., and when the signal from the count sensor 27 exceeds the threshold Ls, only in a case where a current threshold excess time point Nt elapses the ignore period Jx or more from the previously counted-up threshold excess time point Ft, counts up the number of balls.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
