Abstract:
To detect a single cell abnormally swollen due to charging of a battery module having a plurality of single cells.SOLUTION: A battery module 100 includes: a plurality of unit cells 10 each having wide surfaces 10b on a pair of opposing side surfaces, which are arranged in order with the wide surfaces 10b facing each other; a restraining member 20 that restrains both ends of the plurality of unit cells 10 in a direction Z in which the plurality of unit cells 10 are arranged; a bus bar 30 that spans two adjacent unit cells 10 in the direction Z in which the plurality of unit cells 10 are arranged, and that electrically connects the two unit cells 10 to each other; and a first tension sensor 40 attached to the bus bar 30 along the direction Z in which the plurality of cells 10 are arranged.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
