To provide a belt conveyor, installed diagonally, easy for a person to carry, and preventing sand from entering between a driven roller and a conveyance belt.SOLUTION: A belt conveyor, installed diagonally and continuously with other belt conveyors, and conveying sand, includes: a conveyor frame body in a rectangular shape in plan view; and left and right side plate parts with one end side fixed on an outer wall surface in the vicinity of an end part of the conveyor frame body in the longitudinal direction, meanwhile, the other end side projected in the longitudinal direction, and with a rotating bearing of a driven or driving roller fitted into ends of the other end side. The belt conveyor further includes a pair of sand entry prevention means which covers a range in the shorter direction from an inner wall surface of a side plate part, to a position in the shorter direction of a conveyance belt surface predetermined so as to prevent sand from entering from an end part in the shorter direction of the conveyance belt; and covers a range in the longer direction from a tip of the conveyance belt on the driven roller side, to a position in the longer direction predetermined so as to allow covering clearance in a vertical direction between the side plate part and the conveyor frame body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
