Abstract:
To provide an air blower that can increase efficiency, and a washing machine that comprises the same.SOLUTION: An air blower comprises an electric motor 100, a rotating shaft rotatably provided in the electric motor 100, a centrifugal impeller 300 provided on the rotating shaft, a diffuser flow passage provided on an outer periphery of the centrifugal impeller 300, and a scroll flow passage 70 provided downstream of the diffuser flow passage. A shielding plate 470 is provided on a scroll junction surface of the scroll flow passage 70. The shielding plate 470 is constituted integrally with a diffuser 400.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
