Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a governor rope swing preventive device that can be installed without separation and coupling works of components or with minimum working man-hours of separation and coupling.SOLUTION: The swing preventive device includes an accommodation space defining component that defines an accommodation space (11a) for surrounding and accommodating a governor rope (11). Lateral movement of the governor rope is restricted by the accommodation space defining component. The accommodation space defining component has a base portion (14), a first arm (16a) and a second arm (16b). Each of the first and second arms has a fixed-end connected to the base portion and a free-end unconnected to the base portion. The first and second arms are disposed at different height positions such that a gap greater than a diameter of the governor rope is formed in a vertical direction between the first and second arms. In a plan view, an end portion at free-end side of the first arm overlaps an end portion at free-end side of the second arm. In a plan view, the base portion and first and second arms form an endless loop.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3A
