PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera body that can optimally detect a focus adjustment state of an optical system.SOLUTION: A camera body 2 mountable to an interchangeable lens 3 comprises: a reception unit 21 that receives a first image plane movement coefficient varying with a position on an optical axis of a focusing optical system 33, and a second image plane movement coefficient equal to or less than a value of the first image plane movement coefficient from the interchangeable lens 3; and a determination unit 21 that, when determining that the focusing optical system is present within a prescribed range, determines irregularity when the second image plane movement coefficient varies, and, when determining that the focusing optical system 33 is not present within the prescribed range, does not determine irregularity when the second image plane movement coefficient varies.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
