Abstract:
To provide a centrifugal compressor capable of reducing a deterioration in the operation efficiency of the centrifugal compressor and a decrease in the maximum flow rate of gas the flow of which the centrifugal compressor allows, by forming the stable flow of the gas.SOLUTION: A centrifugal compressor includes a main shaft 1, a plurality of impellers 3, a casing 2 storing the plurality of impellers 3, and a plurality of guide vanes 5 arranged in a return flow path 23, the guide vanes 5 each including a fixed guide vane 30, and a variable guide vane 32 arranged continuously with the fixed guide vane 30, the variable guide vane 32 being constructed so that an angle θ between a chord L1 of the variable guide vane 32 and a reference straight line L2 is gradually larger as extending from the shroud side to the hub side, the reference straight line L2 is a straight line connecting a shaft center CP of the main shaft 1 and a shaft center AX of a rotary shaft 35 of the variable guide vane 32.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
