Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging system that can shorten charging time while suppressing deterioration of a charging and discharging cycle when a secondary battery is charged.SOLUTION: A charging system has a battery pack 1 and a charger 2. A charging controller 21 performs constant-current charging with first charging current when a secondary battery 14 is charged, and controls the charger 2 to perform constant-current charging as follows. When at least one of a condition that SOC of the secondary battery reaches an SOC value and a condition that the inter-terminal voltage of the secondary battery reaches a threshold inter-terminal voltage is satisfied, the constant current is switched to second charging current smaller than the first charging current to perform the constant-current charging. When the inter-terminal voltage of the secondary battery reaches a charging finishing voltage, the charging is continued until the inter-terminal voltage reaches a charging finishing voltage in accordance with the deterioration degree of the secondary battery, and the charging current is switched to third charging current smaller than the second charging current to perform the constant current charging.
