Abstract:
To provide a contact type IC card capable of reducing an environment load in disposal and reducing material costs and capable of suppressing problems, such as falling of an IC module from a card substrate.SOLUTION: In an IC card 1 has an IC module 70 having an external connection terminal 71 and an IC chip 73a, and a card substrate 21 and can communicate with external equipment, the IC module 70 has a board 72 in which the external connection terminal 71 and an IC chip 73a are disposed on one surface and the other surface. The card substrate 21 has: a first core layer 60 composed of a paperboard material; a second core layer 51 composed of a resin material disposed in the one surface side; and a recess 90 having an opening. The IC module 70 is disposed in a recess 90 such that the external connection terminal 71 faces an opening side, and the substrate 72 and the second core layer 51 are joined via an adhesive layer 80.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
