Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily separate a two-core cord into single core cords without damaging the two-core cord or cutting an optical fiber cord.SOLUTION: A cord single separation tool 31 by which an optical fiber cord composed of a plurality of single cords is separated into single cords by cutting a fusion part comprises a first arm 32, a second arm 33, and a connection part for connecting the first and the second arms 32, 33. A first engagement part is formed in the first arm 32 and a second engagement part 38 is formed in the second arm 33. The first engagement part 37 has a holding and cutting part, which holds an optical fiber cord and cuts the fusion part. The second engagement part 38 has a pressing part, which presses the optical fiber cord against the holding and cutting part. The optical fiber cord is separated into single cords by pulling non-joint portion from the area between the first and the second engagement parts 37, 38.
