Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to select a function which he or she wants to use, in a compound machine capable of execution by allowing a user to select a function from a menu image displayed on an operation panel.SOLUTION: A compound machine (MFP) 1 comprises: an operation panel 13b; an operation detector 17 which, before a user select a function to be executed, detects an applied operation being an operation applied by the user to the portions other than the operation panel 13b in the MFP 1; and a display controller 10a which, in response to the applied operation detected by the operation detector 17, executes an inference process of inferring the function which the user is trying to be executed and changes the menu image on the basis of the result of the inference process.
