Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer system for decreasing the time required for processing a plurality of I/O commands based on one or more I/O requests.SOLUTION: When issue destinations of two or more I/O commands among a plurality of I/O commands are two or more storage devices in an inactivated state among a plurality of storage devices, a computer system determines a startup order for the two or more storage devices on the basis of two or more I/O amounts respectively corresponding to the two or more storage devices. The I/O amount of each of the two or more storage devices is the I/O amount according to one or more I/O commands for the storage device among the two or more I/O commands. The computer system activates the two or more storage devices in the determined startup order.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13
