Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection box of an optical cable excellent in pressure resistance from all directions and capable of housing other instruments or modules, and to provide an optical composite power cable using the same.SOLUTION: A connection box 29 is constituted of a main body part 31 and a lid part 33. The lid part 33 may be opened and closed in reference to the main body part 31. The main body part 31 and the lid part 33 are provided with reinforcement walls 35a, 35b, respectively. The reinforcement walls 35a, 35b are respectively provided at the same position in reference to a longer direction of the connection box. The reinforcement wall 35a is provided with an optical fiber through-hole 47 and tension member through-hole 49. When the lid part is closed, facing surfaces of the reinforcement walls 35a, 35b are brought into contact.
