Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which various acidic monomers proposed for conventional dental primers, dental adhesives etc. to solve the problem of teeth bondability degradation caused by hydrolysis are not satisfactory, because their durability and toughness of teeth bonding are inferior and their low refractive indices also cause inferior transparency when combined with a filler having a high refractive index having an x-ray contrast property.SOLUTION: A high-toughness teeth-bondable silane coupling agent is disclosed in which functional groups such as an acidic group and an aldehyde group can be introduced into a silicon atom via a thiourethane bond, a thioester bond and a thioether bond so as to impart to an inorganic filler very high bonding toughness, durability and reactivity for teeth. The use of the silane coupling agent of the present invention can significantly improve bonding performance of a dental primer, a dental adhesive, a dental cement, a dental resin cement, a dental resin modified cement and a dental composite resin.
