Abstract:
To provide a continuous centrifuge in which a recovery unit is made into a separate unit from a sample feed system, SIP is performed up to a connection boundary with the sample feed system, and the recovery unit is sterilized separately.SOLUTION: A continuous centrifuge has a rotor drive device 10, sample supply means 20 for feeding a liquid or gas to the rotor drive device, a sample recovery unit 40 for recovering a sample after separation in a rotor, and a flow path switch mechanism 30 for switching the liquid supplied from the sample supply means 20 to the rotor drive device 10 between via an upper side line and via a lower side line. The rotor drive device 10 can be connected to a sterilization device to sterilize the inside of the rotor, a condensed water discharge line 80 for discharging condensed water during sterilization is provided, and a three-way branch valve 19 is provided in a sample recovery line leading to the sample recovery unit. At the time of steam sterilization, the sample recovery unit 40 is shut off from the rotor drive device 10 by the three-way branch valve 19, and the condensed water is discharged from the condensed water discharge line 80 via a steam trap unit 70.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
