Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic transmission and a control method of the automatic transmission, capable of preventing unexpected park lock from being actuated due to misoperation of a P button.SOLUTION: An automatic transmission TM includes: a park module 32; an actuator 32a configured to drive the park module 32; an ATCU 10 configured to, when a setting range of the automatic transmission TM is set to a P range, drive the actuator 32a; and a shifter 6. The shifter 6 has a lever 6a and a P button 6b. The ATCU 10 is configured to, when a state where the lever 6a is operated to a position other than a neutral position HOM, and a P range setting request are overlapped with each other, prevent the setting range of the automatic transmission TM from being set to the P range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
