Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a delay in handover start determination due to the intervention of a DRX sleep period causing a delay of continuous monitoring, when a mobile terminal currently executing downlink DRX reception requires to perform continuous monitoring of signal reception quality as many as a predetermined number of times in order to determine to start a handover.SOLUTION: In the DRX sleep period causing the delay of continuous monitoring, the repetitive execution pace of the monitoring operation, required for continuous execution as many as the predetermined number of times to determine the handover start, is quickened. By this, the transmission timing of a signal requesting to start the handover is quickened as long as a time width sufficient for reducing a handover failure rate.
