PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system which causes a message notification for a customer user of an image processing apparatus to be easily displayed on the display unit of the image processing apparatus such that the notification is made reliably to the customer user, thereby increasing the efficiency of the maintenance services for the image processing apparatus.SOLUTION: A management server 106 accepts a message intended to be displayed on a screen of an image processing apparatus 102 from a sales company user, etc., and generates page information including the message and first instruction information corresponding to the accepted instruction (S401). The image processing apparatus: periodically issues to the management server a first inquiry about instruction information for the image processing apparatus (S402); displays, in response to a notification based on the first instruction information from the management server, a message corresponding to the notification in a status display area of a display unit (S406); and uses a Web browser to acquire from the management server the page information including the message relating to the first instruction information, and displays the acquired page information on the display unit (S407-S411).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
