Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording device capable of highly efficiently recording a normal image while inhibiting occurrence of scrapping recording media, and to provide a method for controlling the device.SOLUTION: An objective ink jet recording device comprises: an ink discharge part discharging an ink from a nozzle on a recording medium; and recording control means bringing the ink discharge part, to operation of the ink discharge from the nozzle into a margin region on which a normal image of a recording target is not recorded among one recording region which becomes a target of ink discharge from the nozzle in the recording medium, and to recording of a prescribed test image by ink discharge from the nozzle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
