PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve recording-paper conveyance force and to restrict bleed.SOLUTION: A conveyance roller 9 for conveying a sheet of paper P, comprises a core body 91, a first elastic layer 92, a shield layer 93, and a second elastic layer 94. The core body 91 composes a center shaft for the conveyance roller 9. The first elastic layer 92 is disposed on the outer periphery of the core body 91 and is elastic. The shield layer 93 is disposed on the outer periphery of the first elastic layer 92 and shields bleed. The second elastic layer 94 is disposed on the outer periphery of the shield layer 93 and is elastic. The first elastic layer 92 and the second elastic layer 94 are formed from rubber such as VMQ, AU, FKM, EPDM, SBR, NBR, BR, NR, or IR. The shield layer 93 is formed from metal, such as nickel, aluminum, or stainless, which is less liable to be corroded.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
