Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance cooling property of an operation device such as a turbocharger while promoting warming-up of a rotary piston engine and achieving effective cooling of the engine.SOLUTION: A cooling device of an engine 1 comprises a circulation path for circulating cooling liquid from a water pump 20a to a water jacket 12 of an engine housing. The water jacket 12 is divided into a hot zone H corresponding to a combustion stroke and an exhaust stroke and a cold zone C corresponding to an intake stroke. The engine 1 is provided with an operation device (turbocharger 23) that is cooled by circulation of the cooling liquid. Flow control valves 20b-20d are also provided for stopping a flow of the cooling liquid in the hot zone H of the water jacket 12, in warming up of the engine 1, and making the cooling liquid flow in the cold zone C to circulate the cooling liquid to the operation device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
