Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication method, or the like, suitable for phase estimation of transmission data, in the case of multiple value phase shift keying.SOLUTION: In a case of M-ary phase shift keying, a receiver 5 includes M correlation units, and a demodulation unit. Each correlation unit 17 is adjusted so that a maximum correlation can be obtained between a spread spectrum code, in various phases of a transmission signal. At the time of data transmission, each correlation unit calculates the correlation value of a received signal and a spread spectrum code. A demodulation unit 19 identifies a correlation unit indicating the maximum correlation, and estimates the phase of the transmission signal. Since a decision is made using a plurality of complex spaces, the decision can be made easily even in the case of multiple value phase shift keying of 8 or 16, for example.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
