Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current cutoff device having excellent responsiveness to a pressure change.SOLUTION: A current cutoff device 50 cuts off the conduction between an electrode terminal and an electrode when the pressure in a case 18 of a power storage device 100 exceeds a prescribed value. The current cutoff device 50 comprises a first current-carrying member 37, a second current-carrying member 88, and a deformable member 80. The first current-carrying member 37 is connected to the electrode terminal. The second current-carrying member 88 is connected to the electrode. The deformable member 80 is arranged between the first current-carrying member 37 and the second current-carrying member 88, and connected to the first current-carrying member 37. When the pressure in the case 18 is not more than the prescribed value, the deformable member 80 is in contact with the second current-carrying member 88. When the pressure in the case 18 exceeds the prescribed value, the deformable member 80 is not in contact with the second current-carrying member 88. In the current cutoff device 50, a part of a peripheral edge of the deformable member 80 is connected to the first current-carrying member 37, and a part of the other of the peripheral edge of the deformable member 80 is not connected to the first current-carrying member 37.
