Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enhance strength by fixing a window shutter with an exterior wall on the end on both sides of the rear part and fixing the shutter with the upper end of a frame on the end on both sides of the front part when mounting the window shutter on the upper side of the frame which projects to an exterior wall opening.
CONSTITUTION: A shutter main body 6 is fixed with an exterior wall W at the rear part by way of a latch metal fitting 14 while it is fixed with a window frame 1 at the front part by way of a support metal fitting 15. As a result, the load of a window shutter 2 is diffused by way of the window frame 1, which enhances the rigidity of the shutter main body 6 by further integrating the shutter with the window frame 1. Furthermore, the main body 6 is fixed by screwing with the metal fitting 14 from the front side, thereby simplifying a mounting work. As an occasion demands, a screw is installed inside a shutter curtain 13 so as to mount an inspection board 10 while the inspection board 10 is so arranged that it may not be removed from the outside if the curtain 13 is in a dropped state, thereby enhancing the performance of security. This constitution makes it possible to support the shutter on the exterior wall firmly and stably.
