Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase connecting strength without impairing an excellent appearance in a piece of wooden furniture formed by connecting members to each other by a dowel.SOLUTION: For example, in a desk, front and rear leg rods 4 and a lower beam body 6 are connected by two upper and lower, lower part dowels 19. As a result, the lower beam body 6 is connected in a state to be resistant to a warp. An overhang part 21 is formed on both front and rear end parts of the lower beam body 6, and a screw 20 is inserted into the overhang part 21 and is screwed in the leg rod 4. Since the screw 20 is screwed in the leg rod 4 in a state to be away from the dowel 19 to some extent, high strength is ensured. Since the screw 20 is invisible, and the overhang part 21 is unnoticeable and does not cause a feeling of strangeness, an excellent appearance is not impaired.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
