Abstract:
Device for changing the transport direction of flat envelopes (5) and the position of the envelopes relative to the transport direction feeds the envelopes to a unit using a feeding transporting device on a transport path at a transport speed and removes them from the unit using a removing transporting device on a second transport path having a changed direction with a different transport speed. The device has a driven carrousel table (1) to which gripping arms (2) with changing lengths are fixed. The gripping arms have gripping units (4). Preferred Features: The movement of the envelopes in the transport devices and the movement of the gripping arms and gripping units are synchronized to secure the transfer of each envelope from one transport device to the other transfer device.
