Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a gas flow control device suitable for a turbocharger unit.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a device for controlling gas flow passing at a turbine housing passage. This device includes a plurality of gas flow controlling blades 27, 28 that can be oscillated. Oscillation shafts of the first and second adjoining blades are arranged to be spaced apart in such a way that a rear edge 47 of the first blade 27 may be overlapped on a front edge 48 of the second blade 28 when first and second adjoining blades are set under a first relative end state to each other in order to perform a substantial restriction of the gas flow passing at the turbine housing passage. The second blade has a recess part 49 and the recess part has a slender shape to cause the rear edge of the first blade to be stored at least partially in the recess part when the first and second adjoining blades are kept under the first relative end state and the recess extends in a lateral direction in respect to a chord line between the front edge and the rear edge.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
