Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for assays using a binding element, used for measuring a polynucleotide indicative of the existence of, e.g. a specific pathogen.SOLUTION: A device comprises a reaction chamber including a first binding element adapted for capturing a target compound and a second binding element adapted for capturing a reporter compound indicative of the presence and/or amount of the target compound. The first binding element includes synthetic particles, beads, or a porous matrix, configured to bind a complex containing a capturing compound and the target compound.
