Title:
APPARATUS FOR ACHIEVING UNIQUENESS USING SPONTANEOUS DECAY OF RADIOISOTOPE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2017005697
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the uniqueness of an apparatus (element), and autonomously (without requiring an external authentication station) perform the authentication of a device to identify the apparatus, especially a communication apparatus connected with a network, authentication of electronic data (prevention of alteration or leakage), and further time authentication.SOLUTION: An apparatus comprises: a pulse generation device comprising a radiator including a radioisotope including atoms the number of which is larger than the total number of objects to be identified, and a detector for detecting alpha particles or the like radiated by the spontaneous decay of nuclei from the radiator and for generating electric pulses; and a memory that stores, in advance, the number of pulses (initial pulse number) obtained by measuring the electric pulses generated by the pulse generation device for a prescribed period, its measurement date, and an identification numeral value (initial identification numeral value) indicating a pulse interval of the electric pulses by a numeric value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
