Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide EWOD devices, reactant delivery systems, and methods of preparing radio-compounds using these devices and delivery system.SOLUTION: An EWOD device comprises: a first substrate 38 having one or more fluid paths 42 and including multiple discrete electrically conductive electrode pads 41 spaced apart and insulated from the fluid pads, the electrically conductive pads being separated from each other by non-conductive spaces and having electrically conductive lines attached thereto, each conductive line 52 being provided to deliver electrical signals to the conductive pad to which the line is attached to provide electrically directed movement of fluid droplets along the fluid paths; one or more fluid delivery sites; and one or more reaction sites or heater sites 44 located along the fluid paths on the first substrate. The fluid paths lead from one or more fluid delivery points to the one or more reaction sites or heater sites.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
