Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boot member superior in fatigue characteristic by reducing environmental load, and a disc brake for a pin slide-type vehicle using the boot member.SOLUTION: A pin boot 6 is a cylindrical boot member including a base end setting portion 6b set to a caliper bracket 3 of a first object, a tip setting portion 6c set to a pin member 5 of a second object, and an expandable bellows portion connecting the base end setting portion 6b and the tip setting portion 6c. The pin boot 6 is composed of a rubber composition including 0.1-60 pts.mass of at least one of oxycellulose fiber and cellulose nanofiber to 100 pts.mass of rubber. The rubber includes at least one of ethylene propylene rubber and styrene butadiene rubber. An average value of fiber diameter of the oxycellulose fiber is 10-30 μm. An average value of fiber diameter of the cellulose nanofiber is 1-200 nm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
