Abstract:
To provide a distance measuring device with which it is possible to highly accurately detect parallax even when using an imaging element differing in pixel pitch, a lens differing in focal length, or a distorted lens.SOLUTION: The distance measuring device according to one embodiment detects image positions on an imaging element of at least two images of the same object having been imaged on the imaging element by determination of coincidence degree so as to measure a distance. The images on the imaging element are sampled with the pixel pitch of the imaging element, and geometric correction and resampling process are carried out when determining the coincidence degree of images at image position detection time, with corrections made to the degradation of image signals that occur at resampling processing time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
