Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chain lock device with a locking mechanism hard to bend or damage even if a chain is drawn with great force.
SOLUTION: A pinion 8 is fitted and fixed to the end of a locking shaft 5 of a lock unit 4, so that a train of teeth of a lower rack portion of a locking plate 9 stored in a housing 2 to be movable up and down is in mesh with a train of teeth 7 of the pinion 8 and a locking plate portion 10 at the upper part of the locking plate 9 is engaged with locking recesses 16, 16 of forked legs 12a, 12a of a hook fitting 12. When the locking plate 9 is pulled via the hook fitting 12 by a chain drawn with great force by a thief, the locking plate 9 is put in contact with the inner face of a side wall portion 2b of the housing 2.
