Abstract:
A multi-band receiver comprises a plurality of parallel paths. Each path passes a different frequency band and includes a respective amplifier 314a, 314b. At least one of the paths also has a phase-shift component 624a, 624d. The phase-shift component of a first path is configured to correct for a phase-shift at an out-of-band frequency caused by a component in the first path. The component causing the out-of-band phase shift may be the path’s amplifier. In an embodiment, a phase-shift component 624a disposed along a first path (for passing a first frequency band) is configured to phase-shift a second frequency band signal based on a phase shift in the second frequency band caused by the amplifier 314a in the first path. The second frequency band signal may pass through the first path in both directions after leaking from a second path through the combiner. The phase-shifting may ensure that at the output of the first path, a first frequency band signal is in-phase with a reflected second frequency band signal. The phase shift component may be controlled by a tuning signal. The receiver may be a diversity receiver front-end module implemented on a substrate.
