Abstract:
To provide a door closer capable of discharging hydraulic oil more effectively from the door closer.SOLUTION: A door closer 1 includes: a housing 4; a piston 15; a rack and pinion mechanism 21 as the piston drive mechanism; a rotation axis 24; a hydraulic oil discharge path 24A, 24B, and 24C; and a resin member 38. The door closer 1 is configured so that the resin member 38 melts and opens the hole 24C when the housing 4 gets hot to discharge hydraulic oil from a closed space 4a to outside of housing 4 via the hydraulic oil discharge path 24A, 24B, 24C. The screw holes 24C, which are holes formed in the hydraulic oil discharge paths 24A, 24B, and 24C, are provided upper and lower portion in the longitudinal direction of the rotation axis 24.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
