Abstract:
To efficiently transmit torque.SOLUTION: A drive unit 100 comprises a motor 2, first and second torque transmission paths 4a, 4b, a torque converter 3, first and second gear trains 71, 72 and a first switching mechanism 5. The first and second torque transmission paths 4a, 4b are provided in parallel with each other. The torque converter 3 is arranged in the first torque transmission path 4a. The torque converter 3 amplifies torque, in a first rotation direction, of the motor 2. The first gear train 71 is arranged in the first torque transmission path 4a. The first gear train 71 is arranged on the downstream side of the torque converter 3. The second gear train 72 is arranged in the second torque transmission path 4b. The first switching mechanism 5 switches a transmission path of torque output by the motor 2, between the first torque transmission path 4a and the second torque transmission path 4b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
