Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid droplet discharge device and method which can discharge preferably even filler-contained liquid material such as solder paste.SOLUTION: In a liquid droplet discharge device and a liquid droplet discharge method using the same, the liquid droplet discharge device comprises a liquid chamber 14 having a discharge port 10, a penetration hole 24 that penetrates through the liquid chamber, a plunger 40 inserted through the penetration hole, a plunger moving mechanism and a plunger position determining mechanism, which discharges liquid droplets by advancing and moving the plunger and stopping the advancement thereof, in a state where a tip part 13 of the plunger is in non-contact with an inner wall of the liquid chamber. The plunger position determining mechanism has a front contact portion 43 and a front stopper 51 facing the front contact portion, and regulates a position of the tip part of the plunger at the time of stopping the advancement in the vicinity of the inner wall of the liquid chamber by contacting the front contact portion with the front stopper. In addition, the plunger moving mechanism has pressing means that presses the plunger in an advancing direction, and the front contact portion is provided closer to the advancing direction than the pressing means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
