Abstract:
To provide an acoustic wave element that is excellent in frequency characteristics.SOLUTION: An acoustic wave element 1 comprises: an IDT electrode 4 that includes a plurality of electrode fingers 41; a piezoelectric layer 30 that has the IDT electrode 4 located on a top face, formed of lithium niobate single crystal having a thickness less than 0.35λ, wherein λ is a wavelength defined by twice the repeating interval of the plurality of electrode fingers 41, and wherein the Euler angles of which are (90±1, 90±2, 40 to 70); and a substrate 20 that has a transverse wave sound speed V(m/s) of 5800 m/s or more, and includes a first surface joined to an under surface of the piezoelectric layer 30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
