Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric hydraulic power steering device and a cargo handling vehicle capable of suppressing energy consumption of an electric motor and suppressing impact on an operator.SOLUTION: An electric hydraulic power steering device 6 for generating steering force by driving a pump 22 by an electric motor 31 includes a control circuit 33. The control circuit 33 detects operating force applied to a steering wheel 4 and controls the electric moto 31 on the basis of the detected operating force. The control circuit 33 controls the electric motor 31 to maintain driving of the pump 22 when the magnitude of the detected operating force exceeds a prescribed first reference value. Furthermore, the control circuit 33 stops the electric motor 31 when a prescribed postponement time passes when the magnitude of the detected operating force exceeds a prescribed second reference value which is smaller than the first reference value and stops the electric motor 31 earlier than the lapse of the postponement time when the magnitude of the detected operating force does not exceed the second reference value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
