Abstract:
To provide a motor drive device capable of selecting an appropriate drive pattern according to a priority element, so that loss is reduced while managing torque of a motor, in 2 power supply 2 inverter configuration.SOLUTION: A motor drive device controls drive of a motor having winding of more than 1 phase, whose end points are open to each other, by using two inverters 60, 70. A control section 300 has a pattern selection part 305 selecting any one of three drive patterns, i.e., "a large degree-of-freedom pattern" for driving both inverters 60, 70 in PWM control mode, "a high efficiency pattern" for driving one of the two inverters 60, 70 by rectangular wave control mode, and the other by the PWM control mode, and "a maximum output pattern" for driving both inverters 60, 70 by the rectangular wave control mode. The pattern selection part 305 selects a drive pattern according to the request of the degree-of-freedom of power adjustment, the system loss reduction request, or the output request of the motor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
