PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve system efficiency of a power storage system.SOLUTION: A charging/discharging allowable range of battery packs A1-An indicated by an interval between a charging upper limit value which is battery capacitance less than a full charged state and a discharging lower limit value which is battery capacitance more than a discharge end state includes: at least one range between an upper limit maintenance range indicating a predetermined range from the charging upper limit value provided at a side of the charging/discharging allowable range, and a lower limit maintenance range indicating a predetermined range from the discharging lower limit value provided at a side of the charging/discharging allowable range; and a normal operation range which is any other interval than the upper limit maintenance range and the lower limit maintenance range. A charging/discharging control section 20 is provided in which, in the case where it is detected that battery capacitance of at least one secondary battery reaches the upper limit maintenance range or the lower limit maintenance range, charging/discharging control is performed on all the battery packs A1-An in a direction of the normal operation range.
