Abstract:
To provide an electric vehicle that can operate an engine to charge a battery at a timing intended by a driver.SOLUTION: When a charging switch is turned on before a vehicle power supply is turned on (YES in steps S1 and S2), an ECU drives an engine to charge a battery (step S3). The ECU detects that the charging switch is turned on either before or after vehicle power supply is turned on. The ECU adjusts an amount of charge to the battery by the engine and a power generator.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
