Abstract:
To secure high robustness in electric connector fitting.SOLUTION: A receptacle connector (30) comprises a housing (31) having a plurality of signal terminals arrayed, and a pair of reinforcing metal fittings (50) which reinforce both lengthwise end sides of the housing. The housing has a bottom wall (32), a pair of short walls (33), a pair of long walls (34), and an island-shaped projection wall (35). The respective reinforcing metal fittings have outer plate parts (51) along outer side faces of the short walls, short wall protection parts (53) extending from the outer plate parts to cover top surfaces of the short walls, a pair of side plate parts (61) along outer side faces of the pair of long walls, a pair of long wall protection parts (63) extending from the pair of side plate parts to cover top surfaces of the pair of long walls, and a pair of connection parts (66) connecting both side edges of the outer plate parts and side edges of the pair of side plate parts. A pair of corner protection parts (71) extend from the outer plate parts, and a pair of corner parts (36) between the short walls and the pair of long walls have top surfaces covered with the pair of corner protection parts.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
