Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolytic water generator capable of easily adjusting the pH of generated electrolytic water, and a method of operating the electrolytic water generator.SOLUTION: An electrolytic water generator 10 comprises a first electrolytic chamber 12, a second electrolytic chamber 14, a central electrolytic chamber 16, a first diaphragm 18, a second diaphragm 20, a first electrode pair 26 consisting of a first electrode 22 installed in the first electrolytic chamber 12 and a second electrode 24 installed in the central electrolytic chamber 16, a second electrode pair 32 consisting of a third electrode 28 installed in the first electrolytic chamber 12 and a fourth electrode 30 installed in the central electrolytic chamber 16, a third electrode pair 38 consisting of a fifth electrode 34 installed in the second electrolytic chamber 14 and a sixth electrode 36 installed in the central electrolytic chamber 16, a fourth electrode pair 44 consisting of a seventh electrode 40 installed in the second electrolytic chamber 14 and an eighth electrode 42 installed in the central electrolytic chamber 16, an electric power source that applies voltage to the first to fourth electrode pairs; and polarity switching means that switches the polarities of the first to fourth electrode pairs.
