Abstract:
To increase the magnetic field force of a small magnet without increasing the thickness (height) of a magnet arrangement configuration, and to reduce the size of an electromagnetic ultrasonic probe.SOLUTION: An electromagnetic ultrasonic probe 1 includes a coil 2 that generates an eddy current U in a test body 10, a core magnet 3 that applies a static magnetic field B to a region in which the eddy current U is generated, and a ring magnet 4 arranged so as to surround the core magnet 3. The coil 2 is formed of a spiral or meander-shaped lead wire. The core magnet 3 is a magnet magnetized with four poles on both sides. In the ring magnet 4, magnetic domains adjacent to each other are magnetized to different poles in four magnetic domains 4a, 4b, 4c, and 4d on the inner, outer, left, and right sides by magnetizing the inner peripheral surface with two poles in the radial direction. The core magnet 3 is arranged such that the polarities of the magnetic domains 3a and 3b on the coil 2 side and the polarities of the magnetic domains 4a and 4b inside the ring magnet 4 are the same.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
