Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic device for inserting a weft yarn into a projectile loom.SOLUTION: In an electromagnetic weft yarn insertion device in a projectile loom, a projectile (1) is launched into a shed through electromagnetic force caused by a plurality of adjacent coils (3) which are aligned along the trajectory of the projectile and sequentially excited during the movement of the projectile. The coils (3) are excited in groups (4) of the consecutive coils, and the position of the group (4) of the driven coils is sequentially moved forward by the single coil (3) at a time in agreement with the position of the projectile (1).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
